Men’s Health Services in Canton MA

Men skip the doctor for years and then arrive with something advanced. We make it straightforward: one visit covering the essentials — blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar, prostate discussion, testosterone if symptoms suggest it, along with mood, sleep, and alcohol use. Conversations are direct and confidential, and screening recommendations are matched to your age and family history so you know what genuinely needs attention now versus later. For more information, contact us or schedule an appointment online. We are conveniently located at 95 Washington St, Ste 204 B, Canton, MA 02021.

What a Men’s Health Visit Covers

One appointment covering the things that actually determine outcomes for men: blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar, weight and waist circumference, prostate discussion appropriate to your age, testosterone if symptoms warrant, plus mood, sleep, alcohol use, and sexual health.

Men reliably underuse primary care and consequently present later with heart disease, diabetes, and cancer. A single annual visit changes that trajectory more than any other intervention available.

Prostate and Sexual Health

PSA screening is a decision worth making deliberately rather than by default. We discuss what the test can and cannot tell you, weigh your age and family history, and proceed based on your preferences.

Erectile dysfunction deserves attention beyond the obvious treatment — it is frequently an early marker of vascular disease, sometimes preceding cardiac symptoms by years. Evaluating it properly can catch heart disease early.

Testosterone

Fatigue, low libido, mood changes, and loss of muscle mass may reflect low testosterone — or thyroid disease, depression, sleep apnea, or medication effects. We test appropriately with morning samples and repeat confirmation before treating, and discuss risks and monitoring honestly if replacement is warranted.

Men’s Health Questions

At what age should I start PSA screening?

Usually the discussion begins at 50, or 45 if you’re Black or have a first-degree relative with prostate cancer. It’s a shared decision, not automatic.

I feel fine — do I really need a physical?

That’s precisely the point. High blood pressure, high cholesterol, and early diabetes produce no symptoms. By the time they do, damage has accumulated.

Can you help with erectile dysfunction?

Yes, and it’s worth raising. Beyond treatment, ED is often an early warning sign of vascular disease — evaluating it can identify heart problems early.

Do you check testosterone?

Yes, when symptoms suggest it. We use morning samples with repeat confirmation, and rule out other causes before considering treatment.

What screenings do I need in my 40s?

Blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes screening, colon cancer screening starting at 45, skin checks, and depression screening. More if family history warrants.

Is the visit confidential?

Entirely. Everything discussed stays between you and your physician, protected under HIPAA.
